About Us

Wedding Cakes by Design, LLC is a private home-based business (with a stand-alone cake studio) located at 3955 9th Dr., Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965. Visitation by appointment only please.

It all started when Theresa and her mother took a local cake decorating class when Theresa was a teenager, back in the 1970s. Thus, a cake decorating hobby began. Theresa was later commissioned by a local weekly meeting group to make them a cake for their breaks. This went on for several years. Her cakes became well known in the local community. Theresa enjoys baking and decorating cakes.

Bob (Theresa’s husband) came on board, and together they began making some of the prettiest cakes. Wedding Cakes by Design, LLC became popular by word of mouth.  Bob and Theresa took Cake Mastery courses I and II, classes I and II and with world renowned expert Nicholas Lodge, and Theresa worked with Nicholas Lodge learning his technique of making realistic sugar and gum paste flowers. Most recently they have added the delicate wafer flowers to round out their offerings of flower choices.
